WHAT IS YOUR PETTIEST ISSUE?

The impatience of others really gets to me sometimes. People in a rush to get off a plane or a train are bad. Micromanagement is rough but thankfully I don’t get that very often. The worst might be Chicago cab drivers — specifically when they honk because they’re stuck waiting behind other vehicles trying to turn as a result of pedestrians crossing the street to their walk signal. Perhaps I’m defensive because I’m often one of those walkers but fuck off cabbies — running over people would be bad, you know?

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS BEHIND OR UNDERNEATH IT?

I try to keep my life simple, relaxed, free of stress and annoyance — I know this is often impossible, but I guess when I see others who can’t stand to wait just 2 extra seconds, I see what I don’t want to become. Respecting complete strangers in passing is kind of a good thing, and giving someone just a little bit of space that I myself would want to receive feels like a way to help keep general societal sanity in check.

WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES DO?

If the other person is going to insist on being a dick, just try your best to not be a dick back. Personally, I’m quick to put on music or find some way to ignore those who can’t be bothered anyway. I’m ancient: I still use an iPod (it’s a Touch though I swear!). Though to be honest I’m still waiting for that moment with a cab where they come so close to me that I can just kick the car as it passes so the driver thinks for just a moment that they’ve hit someone and their life is now ruined.

DO YOU LOVE PEANUT BUTTER?

Fuck yes, I love peanut butter. Creamy, though, never chunky!
